The Case for Glasses

- Generally lower ongoing cost since there's no need to replace them regularly
The tradeoff: glasses can fog up, get rained on, slide down your nose during exercise, and limit your peripheral vision slightly compared to contacts.
The Case for Contacts
- Full, unobstructed field of vision — great for sports and active lifestyles
- No frames to worry about fogging, slipping, or getting in the way
- More natural appearance for some patients who prefer not to wear glasses
- Options like colored or specialty lenses (toric for astigmatism, multifocal for presbyopia)
The tradeoff: contacts require proper hygiene and handling, carry a higher (though still low) infection risk if not cared for properly, and aren't the right fit for every eye or every schedule.
